I take that back.

So my last blog I wrote about winter, and how im so excited for it to snow. Yeah, I take all of that back. We got a ton of snow over the weekend and it hasn’t been to good for me. It’s too cold to even go sledding or snowboarding and the roads are way to icy to even be out and about. My family went to Iowa City on Friday and on our way home on Saturday; we could barely see the highway. It took us about six hours to get home. Pretty sure we were only going thirty miles per hour down the highway, and better yet, the snow plows weren’t even out. But we got home safe, it just took us forever. On the radio they said traveling is not safe during this kind of storm but that didn’t stop my dad, he wanted to be home as soon as possible.

My dad got me a car a few weeks ago but I haven’t been able to drive it because I haven’t had insurance or plates on it yet. I just got insurance and plates for it on Friday, finally. Last night I went to go start my car to warm it up and my heat doesn’t work now so therefore I can’t drive my car when its ten below with no heat.

Nothing good is going on for me this winter. I take everything I said back about how im so excited to do all this stuff and how i cant wait for all the snow. It just needs to melt already!

Tis' The Season To Be Jolly.

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la, la la. Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la, la la.

Christmas is right around the corner, and yet there is still no snow on the ground. Im really starting to get in to the Christmas mood. I have a lot of stuff already planned out for winter break. Me and a all of my friends are going to have a Christmas party, we each drew a name out of a box and got secret Santa’s. I have not made my Christmas list yet but my parents already have presents under the tree. I do know one thing i got though, a morkie puppy. I can't wait to see it. During Christmas break I go to about four Christmas parties a year and get a ton of presents. Last years Christmas sucked because I didn’t really get anything I wanted but I think I will be happy this Christmas because I need to start appreciating everything my parents do for me and what everybody else does for me. I can’t wait until you actually get snow on the ground so I can go sledding and snowmoboiling with all my friends. This winter is going to be a good one, I can tell already. (:

Winter

I hate cold weather, but I love snow. Why can’t we have snow in hot weather? I guess that’s just not how this world works. Some of the best memories come in the wintertime. Like being snowed in with all friends, and school getting cancelled. In the winter my friends and me always pull the sled behind my four-wheeler and drive around town, since that’s the only way to get around most of the time. We always go sledding too at the sledding hill in East Park, even though its cold, its always fun. My favorite part of winter is having those movie nights with all your friends, sitting by the fire, drinking hot coca and watching movies with tons and tons of warm blankets. Im actually pretty excited for winter this year. My family wants to get a snowmobile this winter since we have a huge open field in front of our house, and some of my friends have snowmobiles too, so we could all go riding around together. Usually I hate the sight of snow, but this year i have a feeling Im going to love it. (:

Rest In Peace

Two students at Mason City high school have died in the past week, Zach Graney and Colby Schmidtke. They were both really nice boys and i will never understand why god had to take them out of all people, but i guess god needed two more angels.

I seen the car in the water and found out who the the three people were. I was the one who called Sara and had to tell her the bad news. It was so hard telling a best friend that her cousin Colby got into a car accident. I have been here for her every step of the way, along with many of our other friends. I have known Colby for a long time. He had the biggest crush on me in eighth grade and we were really good friends. But as we both got into high school we drifted apart; that's something that i will regret. Colby was always joking around and messing around with people. He was in my fifth period class, its going to be hard going to class today and having to look at his empty seat. Him and Sara were really close and its really hard to see a friend have to go through this. His family is really strong, and so is he. We will all defiantly miss Colby and all his jokes he told.

Zach, I just talked to this kid the day before he collapsed. He was probably one of the nicest kids i have ever met. He always had the smile on his face. I remember when he would talk to girls, he would studder. He was always kinda shy. I remember the day i found out he died. I was laying in bed and checking my facebook on my phone, and i seen somebody write on Zach's wall and said, "r.i.p Zach, you were a cool kid!" and i was thinking, what the heck is going on? then i got a call from Sara and she told me, it was so hard to believe that somebody so young was gone. Zach was in two of my classes and everyday i look at his empty seat wondering why god took him. Zach's sister is probably one of the strongest girl ever. i don't know what i would do if my brother passed away, i would go insane. Zach's kind heart and big smile is missed.

This past week has been very hard for me because i used to be good friends with both of the kids that have passed away. Zach and Colby were both juniors. I guess i will never fully understand why god had to take them but i guess i will have to ask god when its my time to enter the gates of heaven. Zach and Colby are going to be missed in the halls of MCHS. Rest In Peace.

Drugs and Alcohol.

Sooo many teenagers these days are either drinking or doing drugs, its crazy. I know lower classmen who provide some upper classmen with drugs. I know parents who buy alcohol for there kids and there friends. I know middle schoolers who are doing drugs and drinking every weekend. I think this is becoming a huge issue. My parents want me to go to a smaller school because they don't want me getting into all these drugs, but no matter where you go there are drugs and alcohol. Some people think its cool to get high everyday, truth is, its really not. I have no idea where all these young kids and teenagers get the access to all these drugs and different types of alcohol but its outrageous. I had a friends that hungout with the wrong croud and got caught up into all sorts of drugs, herion, cocaine and meth. He got sent away to a rehad facility and he is now better. He said that doing all those drugs ruined his life. I would imagine they could ruin anybodys life. I think drugs are worse then alcohol but alcohol can be just as bad. Niether of them are cool to do.

This is getting old, real quick.

Blogging used to be fun at first, but now its getting a little to much. I have run out of ideas to blog about.. Everybody blogs about the same ideas, jersey shore, cell phones, texting, abortion, teenage sex, love, and some people even blog about mr.dykstra, haha. I think it would be easier to write a blog if you someone, like a teacher, told you what to blog about. Like gave each student a different topic to blog about because im pretty sure we have all ran out of ideas, there for blogging is becoming lame. I think many people would agree with me or I think we should just put blogging to an end. I think some people blog about stuff that they will later regret in the future. Whatever you blog about will be on the interent forever for everybody to read and i dont think some people realize that. Mr.Dykstra, blogging is getting old! Lets do something different and more exciting, or atleast give us different ideas to blog about.

The End is Almost Here.

Looking back at Elementary and Middle school i cant believe that I'm finally a junior in high school. I will graduate soon and be on my own. Each and everyday of school it goes by so slow, but when you look back the years went by so fast. As much as i hate school now, i think when I'm graduated I'm going to miss coming to school everyday and getting updated on the latest gossip and whose dating who. Even though I'm planning on attending college, its not going to be the same as high school.

Iv lately realized that grades mean a lot to the college your deciding to go to. I want to go to The University of Iowa, but i know for a fact that i wont get accepted with the grades that i have now. My parents push me hard to do good in school but yet i still slack. They ground me for getting bad grades; i have been grounded for about a month so far because I'm failing one class and yet i still haven't managed to get that grade up. Everybody says that your junior year is the hardest year in high school; I'm going to have to agree with that statement. I usually do pretty decent in school, but this year i have no idea whats going on. I'm more concerned with my surroundings and whats going on outside of school.

I really need to focus on my future and stop worrying about other things that are going on in my life. I only have about a year and half to pull myself up and do good in school. I'm really regretting getting bad grades in the past because its not as easy as you think to get them up and you cant change your grades from previous years. Colleges are going to look at that but Junior year and Senior year really matter to colleges. From now on, im going to do my best.

Person Hygiene.

There are so many student in mason city high school that don't shower or use deodorant and they stink very badly. Its disturbing sitting next to some one in class that smells like body odor or better yet, eating lunch in the cafeteria and you can smell kids at the table across from you; It ruins my appetite. There are also a few teachers that smell. They should be old enough to know about personal hygiene and so should many of the kids here at MCHS. I don't understand why anyone would not want to shower and clean them selfts up. They must like people plugging there nose when they walk by them, or staring at there hair, that is full of grease. Many of these kids wear the same clothes on daily basis, and that's why they also probably stink because their clothes are not washed, and either are they. Please take advantage of your shower, and your washer and dryer and use it, please. Nobody wants to smell your body oder. Personal hygiene is something we all need to use, its not healthy if you don't.

Are you textually active?

Who doesnt have a cell phone these days? Im pretty sure about everyone does, and if you dont you gotta be going crazy. I can not go very long without having my phone. Its always got to be right there by my side. Im on it twenty four seven, either texting or on facebook. Calling people is overated these days, texting has takin over.

Not being able to have cell phones in school hasnt stopped us teenagers from constantly being on our phones. Many teachers are even on there phones through out the school day. Everybody texts these days. Even my friends 80 year old grandma texts and has facebook. Technology has takin over. When people type papers these days they type using slangs and not even realizing it because they are so used to it.

Some slangs that are mostly used through texting are:

BRB: Be right back
G2G: Got to go
FML: F*ck my life
BTW: By the way
ATM: At the moment
BF: Boy Friend
GF: Girl Friend
BFFL: Best friends for life
OMG: Oh my god
LOL: Laugh out loud
IDC: I dont care
IDK: I dont know
IDGAF: I dont give a f*ck
BC: Because

And a lot more, thats just a few of the common ones. I know very few teenagers who dont have cells phones, pretty much everyone does and pretty much everyone is texting.

My love for Lil Wayne

So i have a crazy obsession with Dwayne Micheal Carter Jr. who is also known as the greatest rapper alive; Lil Wayne. His voice always brightens my day. Lil Wayne is one of the most popular rappers in the united states and around the world. His music inspires many around us.

Lil’ Wayne was born as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. on September 27, 1982 to Dwayne Michael Carter the first and Jacinda Carter. Lil’ Wayne was forced to say goodbye to his father who abandoned him and his mother right after he was born. Lil’ Wayne grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans. Wayne enrolled in the gifted program of Layfayette Elementary School and in the drama club of Eleanor McMain Secondary School. His mother met Reginald McDonald soon after his dad left him, who eventually became his stepfather. Years later his stepfather moved the family out of the poverty-stricken Hollygrove to east New Orleans. By that time Lil’ Wayne had begun to develop his interest in hip-hop and rap music. Influenced by Cash Money Recording artists like Pimp Daddy. Lil’ Wayne revealed he was a fan of tennis, Green Bay Packers, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Red Sox. But he mostly enjoyed music.

He wrote his first rap song at age eight. At age eleven he met Bryan Williams, rapper and owner of Cash Money Records. Lil’ Wayne recorded freestyle raps on Williams answering machine. Williams would eventually mentor the young Carter and include him in Cash Money distributed songs. When he was twelve he played the part of Tin Man in his middle school drama clubs production of The Wiz. He accidentally shot himself with a .44 caliber gun at age twelve putting him on life support for two weeks. He dropped out of school at age fourteen.

Lil’ Wayne has three children. His first daughter Reginea was born when he was fifteen to his high school sweetheart Antonia Johnson. Wayne and Antonia married on Valentines Day of 2004 and divorced in 2006. His second child Dwayne the third was born October 22, 2008. His third child, Lennox Samuel Ari was born to actress Lauren London on September 9, 2009. He is expecting his fourth child with singer Nivea.

After earning his GED, Wayne enrolled at the University of Houston in January 2005 with plans to major in political science. To earn his degree he had been taking online courses. An article in Urb magazine in March 2007 stated that Wayne had been earning high grades at Houston and by the end of the year Wayne discontinued his education there.

Lil’ Wayne had been known in several states by 1999. It wasn’t until he released his solo debut, “The block is Hot” that he really got his big break being known all over the states. His solo album peaked at number three on Billboards album chart and at number one on Billboards album chart and at number one on the top ten RNB/ Hip Hop albums while at the same time scored nomination for 2000 source award for new artist of the year. In the years to follow the rapper who was originated from the 17th ward of New Orleans released “lights out” and “500 degreez” in 2002. It was supposed to be the album that beat the sales record of Juvenile’s who left Cash Money Records earlier. However the sales of the alum proved to be disappointing selling only 536,000 copies in U.S and 900,000 copies worldwide.

Lil’ Wayne told CBS that he enjoys smoking marijuana. He also stated that he is “not addicted” to which he prefers to call “purple drank” which is codeine cough syrup. He has been arrested many times for use of possession of marijuana and many other drugs. On January 23, 2008 Wayne was arrested alongside with two others. His tour bus was stopped by border patrol agents near Yuma, Arizona. A K-9 unit recovered 105 grams of marijuana, almost 29 grams of cocaine and $22,000 in cash. Lil’ Wayne was charged with four felonies, possession of narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in jail right now, but will be getting out in the next month.

In June 2004 this young American artist released his most recognized album yet. “The Carter” that peaked at number five on billboard 200 and at number two on the top RNB/ hip-hop albums. Around the time he collaborated with Destiny’s Child and T.I for the noteworthy Destiny’s Child song “Soldier” earning him prominent nominations. Naming some were 2005 award best collaboration and 2006 Grammy award best rap song. Following the accomplishment of album “Tha Carter” that debuted at number two on billboards album chart while its lead single “Fireman” became a hit peaking at number 32 on billboard hot 100. Once again the rapper that is famous for the red bandanna tied on his right arm or leg received positive reviews and gathered notable nomination for the 2006 BET Hip-Hop award. The 2006 billboard music award and the 2007 BET award. In the period 2006-2007, he gained more fans by releasing a series of mix tapes. “Dedication” and “Dedication 2” where as in 2007 he recorded another Carter-titled album “The Carter III” He received an award in 2007 for best hip-hop award for MVP of the year.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, also known as Lil’ Wayne, Weezy, Weezy F. Baby, Baby Jr or Birdman Jr is known as the best rapper alive. If you like Lil’ Wayne as I much as I do and you want to learn more about it him read the autobiography book and memoir “Lil’ Wayne” By, John Torres.

High School Relationships, Do They Last?

In high school about everybody has had at least one relationship whether it’s serious or not. Everybody in a amazing relationship wants it to last but it always doesn’t work out that way. After high school you go your separate ways, go to different colleges and such unless you are seriously in LOVE then you make it last and do everything together.

I hate when people like middle schoolers think they are in love after two days of dating someone. They don’t even know what love is. Most high schoolers don’t even know what love is. I’m not saying I know what love is im just saying, your not in love if you have been dating for only two days... Get over it; you’re not in love.

Adults have kind of a different meaning to love then us teenagers do. There are a lot of teens in Mason City High School that have been dating for a very long time. I know teenagers that were together in High School and that are in college and are still dating. Maybe someday they will get married, that’s what you call high school sweet hearts.

Some high school relationships last and some don’t. A lot of teens just have what you call "things" with people. Im not saying that you wont be with your boyfriend or girlfriend forever, im just saying most high school relationships don’t last.  Teenage love is all about making him yours and not hers.

Paris Hilton caught with cocaine.

A cop in Las Vegas pulled Paris Hilton over because he smelled  marijuana coming from her SUV. The cop pulled Paris and her boyfriend over and searched Paris's purse, they found a white substance fall out of her purse what seemed to be cocaine. She told the police that the money in the purse was hers but the purse wasnt, therefor the cocaine didnt belong to her she said. They released her, facing no charges, as the drugs were determined 'not to be hers." I think this is BS, because if a non famous person did this they would be in prison. But just because shes famous she gets away with it. She's obviously not gunna learn her lesson and keep doing it. A lot of famous people always get away with stuff but us non famous people dont. We have to pay the price and sit in jail or prison for the crime we did. Famous people always get the wasy way out, we sure dont. If you agree with me or please comment, or if you dont agree  you can also comment. Thanks. (:

Don't worry about the past, theres a reason why they didnt make it to your future.

I just read a quote on photobucket.com and it said, " dont worry about the past, theres a reason why they didnt make it your future. " This quote is very true, because if someone truly cared about you then they would still be in your life. Friends go but best friends will always be there and most of your family will always be there and if there not then theres a reason they didnt make it to your future. So dont worry about the people in your past, they will be many other people that will make it to your future, and many more people that you will meet.
